Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress famous for her performance in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The actress was the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead character in various television dramas. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also a critically-acclaimed one. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Alexandra has been involved in numerous significant international and national productions over the years. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
