Aisling is a popular Irish comedian that has been in the business for some time. Born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started appearing as bit roles in Irish or British television programs in 2009, started her career as an stand-up comic in 2011. By 2012 she was regularly appearing on sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms. After winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for various panel shows where she has become a fixture. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's one of the most popular contestants on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was awarded the So You Think You're Funny Award twice. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Claiodhnadhs Sullivan was born on the 16th of March, 1984 at Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who was killed when Bea turned three was an suicide victim. Bea was informed of his death only at thirteen years of age. In honor of her dad, she took the stage name Bea and in 2017 published an article on suicides that affected her family for The Guardian. Bea was fostered by her younger sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and former professional racer. They were obsessed with racing and horses. When she was a child, Bea employed as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a job, and enjoyed performing.
